Safety

Automatic swimming pool covers provide a safety barrier to guard against accidental unsupervised falls. Unlike plastic bubble covers, our polycarbonate material can support the weight of adults, children and pets.

Less Chemicals

An uncovered pool will be directly exposed to the sun’s UV rays which will reduce the chlorine levels in the water by 90%. In fact, it only takes 17 minutes of exposure to UV rays to destroy half of your chlorine. Imagine a chlorine tablet losing half of its chlorine in such a short period of time! This dissipation rate can be reduced by adding cyanuric acid or stabilized chlorine to help protect the chlorine. However cyanuric acid remains in the water and does not dissipate, its level rising with each stabilized chlorine tablet. High levels of CYA (cyanuric acid) can cause chlorine lock which in turn prevents the chlorine from sanitizing you pool giving way to algae and pathogens growth and false water chemistry readings.

As sunlight accelerates the dissolution of chlorine, the pH increases.
Wind is another factor that favours the evaporation of the water, which also increases the pH.

Algae growth is also promoted by direct exposure to sunlight as algae are a living aquatic creature that multiplies rapidly on warm, sunny days utilizing photosynthesis to grow.
